Benefits Communication

Employee Benefits - Benefits Communication

Benefits and reward communication is the biggest issue facing most employers who frequently tell us that staff do not understand or appreciate the value of the perks on offer. Ensuring that business communication is effective therefore is a huge challenge for employers when communicating employee reward. This has led to a rise in the popularity of the total reward statement, which can either be presented to staff online or in a paper format. The most difficult benefit to educate employees about is the occupational pension, which is why so many companies run seminars and presentations on financial education or bring in IFAs to offer financial advice. Employee communication is a challenge as benefits managers try to use all the media tools at their disposal to market the employee reward package including: email, posters, leaflets, seminars, presentations, staff meetings, line managers, text messaging (also known as SMS messaging), webinars, podcasts, staff handbooks, staff magazines and online modelling tools.
