Accountancy firm BDO has launched discounted gym membership and an online health assessment tool, and has staged a health awareness week to raise the profile of healthcare benefits for its 3,000 employees.

Events were held at all the company's 13 UK offices in January. These included cholesterol and blood pressure tests, a healthy menu in the staff canteen and lectures on good health

During the health awareness week, local gyms also gave fitness demonstrations to promote the new gym membership benefit. So far, 500 staff have downloaded discount vouchers for the perk, provided by Incorpore.
In addition, about 100 staff have used the health assessment tool, provided by Vielife.
