Lorica Consulting launches service to manage absence

Lorica Consulting has launched a telephone-based occupational health service for employers.

The service provides a specialist to manage the practical and financial impact of absence. Two versions are available: a basic review and assessment; and case management for more complex situations. The service, developed in partnership with FirstAssist, also gives advice on the fit note system.

Louise Flowers, head of claims management and business services at Lorica Consulting, said: "Absence can be a costly and difficult situation to manage in terms of sick pay, lost productivity and added pressure on colleagues.

"This system helps a company to get a practical recommendation within a few working days."
