High-spec cars are big lure for staff

Almost one-third of company car drivers would leave their employer if they were offered an equivalent job but with a higher-spec car, according a study released by Masterlease. The importance of a company car also shows that 27 percent of the 500 company car drivers surveyed who have accepted a cash alternative have used it to source a vehicle privately. Robert Kingdom, head of marketing and business development at Masterlease, said: "A top-spec company car can be the ultimate incentive for a skilled worker, particularly in industries that are facing fierce competition in recruitment."
