A fantastic initiative from Prince William for workplace wellbeing

Incorpore is delighted to hear that The Duke of Cambridge is helping to support workplace wellbeing by launching a website called Mental Health at Work in collaboration with the mental health charity Mind. The fantastic new online gateway is now live and provides resources, training and information that will allow managers to help their employees who may be struggling at work. The website is available to businesses of all sizes and doesn’t discriminate on employee headcount, which is a great step in the right direction to providing equal resources for all.

The Mental Health at Work website states “whether you work with 10 people, 10,000 people or just yourself, paying attention to mental health in the workplace has never been more important. Mental Health at Work is here to help you find the information and resources you need.”

The Mental Health at Work Report 2017 shockingly revealed that 15% of employees that disclosed a mental health issue faced disciplinary procedures, demotion or dismissal. The report also discussed that 60% of employees have experienced a mental health problem due to work or where work was a contributing factor at some point in their career. Along with highlighting that only a third of 18 to 29-year olds are comfortable talking with their manager about mental health issues compared to almost half of people in their 40s. The Mental Health at Work website will be a fantastic resource for those who want to learn more about mental health and gain a deeper insight into supporting their employees.

Incorpore strongly believe that every employee in the British Isles should have a company organised fitness and wellness programme, which is why we recently launched Your Wellness Hub! Your Wellness Hub is dedicated to providing companies of any size with a wide variety of solutions to create an effective wellness strategy to support healthy behavioural changes inside and out. We provide companies of any size with the tools to encourage staff to Live Fit, Work Fit and Think Fit.

Emma Vivò, Director at Incorpore said “I think this is a fantastic initiative and resource for all employers to understand why focusing on the mental wellness of their staff is so incredibly important. At Incorpore, we are very passionate about demystifying mental illness, providing our employees with support when they need it and implementing initiatives to create more mentally resilient teams. We have taken the step to create a Company Wellness Policy and as part of this 20% of our employees have been on an invaluable Mental Health First Aid Training course.  We would encourage all of our clients to create a Wellness Policy and we would invite companies of any size to take advantage of our free wellness consultation.
