Bartle Bogle Hegarty welcomes staff back to the office with a virtual sheep

Something for the weekend: Employees at Singapore-based creative agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) returned to the office to be greeted by a black virtual sheep.

With offices opening back up after the government in Singapore announced it was safe to return from 5 October 2020. BBH decided to spread some cheer and welcome employees back after their stint of homeworking in a fun and creative way; with a virtual sheep called Dotty.

With a nod back to the nineties when Tamagotchis were the biggest trend, Dotty’s main job is to  motivate and support the wellbeing of staff.

The new virtual pet ‘sits’ baaang in the middle of the office making sure employees will not forget the most important job of keeping her alive. To fulfil the needs of the new virtual pet, employees have to regularly take shifts in feeding, cleaning and playing with her, however, if she is treated well, it is almost certain that Dotty will reward them back for their hard work in maintenance.

Although this sounds like a braaaliant idea, the new office pet could potentially be damaging to productivity, as they are notorious for always wanting food and craving attention all day. However Dotty never forgets birthdays, so overall, not too baaad.

Here at Employee Benefits, we can see the benefits of this new virtual Tamagotsheep being herd all around Singapore.
