Blink recruits first vice president of people

Blink, an enterprise communications platform for frontline workers, has appointed Simon White as its first vice president of people.

This new role will help to scale the Blink team across 2022 as it relocates its headquarters from London to New York, Blink said. It plans to expand its team to more than 150 members of staff across London, New York and Sydney by the end of this year.

In the role, White will be responsible for managing the growth of Blink’s people, both internally and externally. Most recently, White was global head of HR advisory at financial technology firm Revolut to its 3,000-strong team. He has had senior leadership posts in government and the technology world, as well as at Ford Motor Group, Expedia and Meta, granting him broad industry exposure.

Sean Nolan, founder and chief executive officer of Blink, said: “Simon has an incredibly strong and varied background across multiple facets of HR and we’re delighted that he has chosen to join Blink. I know our values have resonated with him, and a key goal of his is to contribute to a culture where everyone has a voice and brings their best self. 2022 is a big year for us, and to have an individual with this level of experience choose us, speaks volumes for where we’ll go in the future.”

White added that a key goal of his is to strengthen Blink’s reputation as an inclusive employer.

“From the start, it’s been clear that this is a team that cares about their mission and each other. As we scale, it’s going to be really important to harness the bits of Blink’s culture that have brought success so far, and also be open to the changes and evolutions that will come from this next period of growth. We want to get to know our team and provide opportunities that align with our company’s goals and our employee’s aspirations,” he said.
