Cymphony appoints head of people and culture

Crewe-based communications provider Cymphony has announced the appointment of Emma Burkitt (pictured) as head of people and culture.

Burkitt has held senior HR positions within the public and private sector over the past 20 years for a number of hospitality brands, including Malmaison, DeVere Village and Principal Hotels.

She aims to establish the provider as one of the best employers in the Crewe and Cheshire area, further develop the business’ culture, and establish it as a successful commercial and trusted employer brand, investing more in its people and teams.

Burkitt said: “I’m thrilled to be part of this exciting organisation. The team here have been extremely welcoming, and everyone is passionate and incredibly driven to take the business to the next level. Cymphony already has some of the best people in the business working across a number of different areas, and I’m really looking forward to building on this and continuing to do the best by our employees.

“The current recruitment climate is very competitive, so it’s more important than ever that we continue to attract, develop and retain talented people. Employees’ needs are the same wherever you work, and I’m here to make certain everyone at Cymphony has a voice and the opportunity to thrive.”

Tim Morris, managing director of Cymphony, added: “Her appointment not only facilitates our ongoing development plan, but also our ambitions for growth across multiple sectors. We are now well positioned to achieve our goals to provide a world-class inbound and outbound customer experience for businesses, while creating an environment where our staff can develop and grow. It’s clear to see that Emma is highly motivated, with great integrity and an excitement for developing and valuing a workforce that we can continue to be proud of.”
