Gett offers four day week to 1,000 employees

Transportation organisation Gett is offering its 1,000 employees globally the option to work a four day week from a location of their choice.

The new policy Gett Flexi, will offer employees, including its 150 staff in the UK, the opportunity to work four days a week, with the new working week running from Monday to Thursday. This will give employees the opportunity to adapt to the new working world during and post Covid-19 (Coronavirus).

The organisation is also offering employees the opportunity to work remotely permanently, or to work a combination of days in the office and at home.

Gett introduced this benefit to its overall strategy after feedback from an internal staff survey showed a keen interest in remote, flexible working. 94% of employees cited they were in favour of the organisation implementing a working-from-home policy, with 26%  of its employees expressing an interest in working remotely the full working week.

The new scheme is in addition to a $250 (£190) payment that Gett has offered its employees to buy office equipment to set up their home office.

Yael Shaar Frisher, vice president of HR at Gett, said: “We launched Gett Flexi with a strong desire to become an employer of choice. Every person is different and we want to give our employees the freedom to choose the environment that suits them and their individual needs best. We trust our people to make the right choices and we hope that Gett Flexi will allow them to spend more time doing the things they love.”
