Hewlett Packard and KPMG staff offered bike repair service

Hewlett Packard, KPMG and Wrigley employees will have access to a bike maintenance service in the workplace.

The service is available through a partnership between global property organisation Goodman Group and online bike retailer Wiggle.

It is aimed at encouraging more than 10,000 employees who work at 120 organisations across Goodman Group’s UK properties to cycle to work.

In addition to the new bike maintenance scheme, Goodman Group also offers employees a range of benefits to improve their health and wellbeing, including fitness classes, fresh fruit giveaways and cycling or sustainable travel events.

Richard Potter, property services director at Goodman, said: “We are keen to see people who work at organisations located in our business parks take up cycling.

“For people who are new to cycling, bike maintenance can be a little daunting, and difficult to fit around their busy working lives.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to offering sustainable travel options to all our [employer] customers, we hope that our joint initiative with Wiggle will make bike repairs, and therefore cycling, more accessible.

“We want our business parks to be enjoyable places to work. Making it easy for people to stay fit and healthy is one of the best ways to do this.

“Our health and wellbeing initiatives are proving popular with employers and their staff, and we hope to roll out more services in this area throughout the year.”
