BHS has moved its paper-based flexible benefits package online in a bid to reduce administration and save time.
The scheme, which is available for 500 of the retail chain’s head office managers and retail store managers, will now be automated which, BHS hopes, will make staff enrolment easier and less time consuming for HR staff to administer. It will also allow the package to be enhanced in the future.
Sue Topping, HR director, said: “We were one of the first retailers to offer flexible benefits to our managerial staff, but it’s always been time consuming to administer. The system worked, but it was prone to time delays and error. We couldn’t have improved it in anyway in its previous format; it was too paper based.”
