PageGroup launches voluntary benefits

EXCLUSIVE: PageGroup has launched a voluntary benefits scheme for its 1,200 UK employees.

Since the global recruitment organisation launched the scheme, provided by Reward Gateway, in July, more than 50% of employees have taken up the scheme.

The benefits available via the online portal include access to more than 1,200 retail discounts and holiday savings.

The organisation decided to launch the scheme based on the results of employee feedback.

Debra Corey, global reward director at PageGroup, said: “Voluntary benefits was at the top of the list of what our employees wanted. Our employee feedback has helped us create a roadmap of where we want to be with our benefits.”

The organisation also held focus groups and conducted staff surveys.

It communicated the launch to employees using emails, posters, text messages and dropping leaflets on to desks.

Twenty five members of staff that signed up following the text messages were also rewarded with £10 into their online accounts.

Corey added: “It is the beginning of our journey based on really good feedback and we hope it helps boost employee engagement.

“The demographic of our organisation is relatively young between the ages of 25 and 30. We really wanted to find out what they wanted and find out where they shopped, to try to tailor the discount scheme to them.”
