IPC Media has launched a voluntary salary sacrifice group income protection benefit. Staff are being invited to sign up for the perk which comes into effect in January.
All staff with more than one year’s service are eligible for the perk, which attracts savings on tax and national insurance contributions (NIC) for staff, and NIC savings of 12.8% for the company because it is paid for through salary sacrifice.
Ashley Bestwick, IPC Media reward manager, said: “It is not a benefit that we have had in place for staff before.”
The scheme was communicated to staff through one-to-one meetings with the provider, Personal Group. Bestwick said staff had shown more interest in the perk than had been expected.
