Ernst and Young named inclusive employer

Ernst and Young has been named one of the UK’s most admired employers for its approach to diversity and inclusiveness, according to a report by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Bernard Hodes.

Respondents to the Diversity and inclusion – fringe or fundamental? report also named BT, Barclays, IBM and Sodexo as leaders in diversity and inclusiveness.

Liz Bingham, managing partner for people in the UK and Ireland at Ernst and Young, said: “As a professional services firm, our people are our biggest asset. So whether it’s our employee networks leadership programme for our high-potential women, and black and minority ethnic staff, or our maternity coaching scheme, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve what we do.

“The report research demonstrates that while many organisations have embarked on a journey of change, they are all at different stages. Many still see diversity and inclusiveness as being about compliance and policies, when, in fact, there is an important business case for diversity and inclusiveness. We are making real progress, but there is always more to be done.”
