Employee Benefits Awards 2013: Best total reward strategy

Winner: City Health Care Partnership CIC

Scheme: Flextra Staff Benefits Portal

Entered by: Edenred

The judges were looking for an employer that has successfully integrated its reward offerings, which could include pay and bonuses, pensions and benefits, staff development and the work environment, into a single total reward strategy. They were also looking for synergies with the organisation’s HR and/or business objectives.

City Health Care Partnership CIC competes for staff against the National Health Service. The judges were impressed that it had the first total reward strategy in its sector.

The judges said: “One of the pioneers in a new sector. [It had a] clear business need to engage its staff with reward.”

The winner said: “[As a] social healthcare enterprise outside the NHS, we used a different approach to attract employees.”
