Being an employer of choice is seemingly an aim of most organisations and it’s a phrase that’s often mentioned in HR circles. However, not many are willing to discuss the reward policies that are associated with such an honour.
Luckily, shoe repair and key cutting retailer Timpson and law firm DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary are prepared to share their experiences and insight. Bill Platt, Timpson’s people person, and Robert Halton, global HR director at DLA, will discuss how to make your workplace the place to be. And both should know; the two firms have achieved high rankings in the Sunday Times‘ 100-best companies to work for over the past couple of years.
Platt will talk about how its staff are encouraged to have fun at work as well as empowering staff to improve performance, while Halton will give a case study exploring how DLA’s benefits and its working environment have helped it scoop dozens of awards.
