Spire Healthcare sees 40% benefits take-up

EXCLUSIVE: Spire Healthcare has seen a 40% take-up of its voluntary benefits scheme since it was launched in April 2012.

The Your Benefits scheme, provided by Personal Group, was introduced after a 2011 employee engagement survey found that staff were unsure what core benefits were available to them.

The scheme includes Spire Healthcare’s core benefits, such as its group personal pension plan, life assurance, private medical insurance scheme, childcare vouchers and a bikes-for-work scheme, as well as discounts at high street retailers.

Jim Carson, head of reward at Spire Healthcare, said: “We want to ensure we recognise and reward [employees’] hard work where we can. And we want to make sure that everyone understands what benefits are on offer.

“Having just completed the 2012 engagement survey, it is already clear from responses that the Your Benefits programme has been well received and has already been embedded in to our new starter and job offer process for new recruits.”
