Metropolitan Police launches voluntary perks

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) has launched a voluntary benefits programme for the Metropolitan Police Service’s 45,000 staff.

The Met Rewards programme, which is provided by Xexec through a framework agreement, is also available to elected local policing bodies and other police authorities for UK police forces, the Greater London Authority, and UK Fire and Rescue Services, making it available to a total 335,094 staff.

The scheme provides staff with access to a range of discounts, as well as benefits via salary sacrifice arrangements, such as childcare vouchers provided by Computershare Voucher Services, health screening provided by Screenetics, and bikes-for-work schemes provided by Evans Cycles or Halfords.

Robin Wilkinson, director of HR at the Metropolitan Police Service, said: “With a global brand, such as the Met Police, which has a reputation for delivering excellent policing services, we are committed to providing a strong range of meaningful benefits to our officers and staff from a trusted source.

“Xexec’s tender submission demonstrated its ability to provide a broad range of employee benefits, which will enable us to remain an employer of choice.”
