Natasha Rice, director of reward and recognition at Telefonica Europe, will explain the challenges employers face when implementing a global recognition scheme in a session titled Implementing a global recognition scheme: how can they run internationally? at Employee Benefits Connect on 27 February.

She said: “Delegates will learn about recognition models and the one Telefonica has developed, which is very specific.

“They will also learn about the value of social tools versus formal prize-giving recognition, and how to use technology to provide recognition, rather than in the traditional way.”

Rice will cover a range of topics during the session, including:

  • Whether a single recognition tool spanning a global organisation is the answer.
  • Acknowledging the differences between countries.
  • Identifying employees’ local needs
  • How to secure buy-in from heads of HR.

Rice added: “It’s more about developing a framework to be used locally and globally.

“Delegates will see that developing something on a local basis can evolve globally, and how to do that through the use of technology so it aligns with what the organisations does for its customers, as well as for its employees.”

Employee Benefits Connect will be held at the Westminster Park Plaza in London on 27 February.
