Admiral Group, EE and McDonald’s among Best Big Companies to Work For in 2017

Admiral Group, EE, McDonald’s Restaurants and Sytner Group are among the organisations recognised in the Sunday Times’ 30 Best Big Companies To Work For 2017 list.

The Sunday Times’ Best Companies lists are based on the results of anonymous employee engagement surveys, which are designed to allow employees to comment on all facets of their working environment, relationships and organisational culture. The surveys cover eight aspects of workplace engagement: leadership; my company; personal growth; my team; my manager; wellbeing; fair deal; giving something back. The results are used to create a Best Companies Index score that is then used to rank organisations.

Sytner topped the 30 Best Big Companies list, which includes organisations that have at least 3,000 full-time employees. 4Com, Bravissimo and First Response Finance are among the organisations on the Top 100 Best Companies list, which includes businesses with at least 250 employees.

Austin Fraser, Search Laboratory, and Talon Outdoor are among the organisations ranked on Best 100 Small Companies list, which is available for organisations with at least 50 full-time employees.

Adactus Housing Group, CityWest Homes, SLH Group, and the University of Sheffield are among The Best 100 Not-for-Profit Companies 2017. This category includes organisations that employ at least 50 members of staff, and are a charity, set up for community benefit, a public sector organisation, a Community Interest Company (CIC) or listed on Companies House as either private, limited by guarantee, no share capital or incorporated by Royal Charter.
