Jardine Lloyd Thompson has launched a Group Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) option for its employees.
A SIPP offers a wide range of investment options, control over timing and access to equity and other investment markets.
Duncan Howarth, managing director†of JLT Benefit Solutions, said: "Group SIPPs have been talked about for a long time but we are seeing little evidence that this attractive option is being used. As a leading employer and an employee benefits and pensions business it is important that we are at the leading edge of this development. We feel this is an excellent option for our employees in the UK."
Premier Pension Services (PPS), part of JLT Benefit Solutions, will administer the scheme and focus on the Group SIPP market in the future.
Duncan Howarth continued, "The Group SIPP is very attractive to high earners who are now required to have DC benefits, as well as being very suitable for salary and bonus sacrifice, especially in today’s concurrent world."
