UCAS has launched a voluntary benefits scheme for its 370 employees.
The plan, which is aimed at boosting the university application processing organisation’s image as an employer, includes perks such as childcare vouchers and bikes for work. It also includes an employee assistance programme (EAP), which was†tailormade to suit UCAS’s requirements, and offers a range of counseling and advice services covering issues such as tax, health and legal procedures, and emergency care and assistance.
Staff can also take advantage of discounts on a range of products including: hotel bookings, family days out, gym membership, magazine subscriptions, restaurants, mobile phones and DVD rental.
Chloe Braithwaite, head of human resources at UCAS, said: "We wanted to provide our current employees with a full programme of incentives that would demonstrate our appreciation of their hard work. We also wanted a plan that would provide a very attractive prospect to any potential new recruits by promoting UCAS as an employer that offers a total reward package rather than just a basic salary."
The scheme is provided by P&MM.
