The London Borough of Hounslow has appointed Capita Hartshead to provide administration and advice on scheme regulations for the Hounslow Pension Fund.
The fund is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and the contract will run for ten years.
Councillor John Todd, chair of the Hounslow Pension Fund Panel, said: “After a comprehensive tendering process, we selected Capita Hartshead because they demonstrated the key skills needed to enable high quality delivery of pension administration for the Hounslow Pension Fund.
“We were very impressed with the breadth of services they could offer us in terms of administration systems, communication with our members, reporting standards and deliverables.”
Steve Birks, public sector operations director at Capita Hartshead, said: “We look forward to working in partnership with Hounslow to develop the services for the benefit of the scheme members and the Council itself. This appointment brings our number of LGPS clients to six including three London Boroughs, with a combined membership of more than 120,000.”
