Novartis Pharmaceuticals conducted seminars to educate staff about their benefits packages. After the seminars, employees rated their understanding of their package and its value proposition. Average rating was 4.5 out of five.
In a case study presentation at the Employee Benefits Summit 2012, delegates heard how Novartis implemented a number of benefits to engage staff, in addition to its flexible benefits plan.
These included a health and wellbeing week, financial education seminars, a bus shuttle between the UK head office and the nearest train station, career fairs, flexible-working policies, a social club, a diversity and inclusion committee, recognition awards, volunteer days, and a December perks programme.
