EXCLUSIVE: Spire Healthcare is rolling out a voluntary benefits scheme to its 7,600 employees as part of efforts to raise awareness of its entire reward package.
The organisation, which operates private hospitals, is rolling the scheme out on a site-by-site basis and has done so for about 2,000 staff so far.
The Your Benefits scheme, provided by Personal Group, will be introduced for all staff across Spire’s 40 sites by August. It decided to launch the scheme after an engagement survey showed staff were not aware of the benefits available to them.
The voluntary benefits portal will also provide information on core benefits, such as Spire’s group personal pension, private medical insurance and wellness assessments.
Jim Carson, head of reward at Spire, said: “We wanted to give a clear and concise description of the core benefits employees get.”
Of the staff that currently have access to the scheme, 720 have registered and 200 have taken up benefits, which include retail discounts, group income protection and a hospital cash plan.
