New group risk website looks to provide added value

A group risk website has been launched as a conduit between intermediaries and insurers in the industry.

The Group Risk Connect site, which launched on 1 July, has partnered five group risk insurers: Friends Life, Generali, Legal and General, Omnilife and Zurich Life.

The website is designed to help educate users and ensure group risk quotes are requested accurately, mitigating potential shortfalls in cover and competence, errors and admissions. It also supports administration, sales initiatives and compliance.

Group Risk Connect has also partnered a range of other organisations, such as Company Health Europe, EnergiseYou, Pitmans Trustees and Thomas, which will all provide free introductory services for the user.

Later in 2013, the website will also expand to include: storing policy information, medical underwriting, claims management and management information.

Lee Watson (pictured), director of Group Risk Connect, said: “I want to support the intermediary to gain access to quotes efficiently and provide greater value to their [employer] clients by using the service partners’ introductory services.”
