Royal Mail rewards zero absence

Royal Mail has rewarded the 56,000 employees who recorded zero absence in the past year with a letter of thanks and £150-worth of holiday vouchers. Jon Allen, head of employee relations, said: "We wanted to thank those employees who have made the effort to help us improve the absence levels at Royal Mail."

It managed to cut absence by a further 0.9 days per week last year, down from 5.9 days per week in 2004/2005.
