NFU Mutual has launched a voluntary benefits scheme as part of its bid to revamp its reward and benefits structure.
As part of its modernisation programme, the a rural insurer has also changed its base pay arrangements, launched a new bonus system and introduced an employee benefit structure linked to a new contract of employment, as well as offering employee discounts.
Paul Martin, HR and reward specialist, said: “We wanted to be more modern and flexible with how we employed our people and bring ourselves up-to-date with best practice. It was about making sure we were being more competitive with the market and providing a platform that can be developed in the future as we add to our benefits package and create more flexibility.”
He added that take-up of the voluntary benefits scheme, delivered by You at Work, has exceeded expectations.
The company, which has approximately 3,000 employees throughout the UK, is also currently piloting a holiday trading scheme.
