British Waterways considers fleet risk assessments

British Waterways is considering implementing driver licence checks and a risk assessment programme for drivers in its 1,000 strong fleet to ensure it is compliant with safety legislation and the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007.

These measures could be introduced under the organisation’s existing fleet contract, which covers 450 company cars, and has just been renewed its fleet deal for a further five years with Inchcape Fleet Solutions..
