The Employee Benefits Awards is the only event in the UK dedicated to celebrating employers’ reward and benefits strategies. This year, more than ever, it is vital to acknowledge outstanding practices as employers aim to engage staff in tough times.
So we would like to congratulate our worthy finalists and winners!

The Employee Benefits Awards are the only UK event dedicated to celebrating employers’ reward and benefits strategies.
This year’s entries are particularly notable for how investing in benefits has enabled so many employers to engage staff during tough times in order to drive their business strategies.
To keep up with the evolving nature of reward, we broadened our company car category to include workplace travel strategies and introduced a dedicated category for public sector employers because they often face challenges that differ from those in the private sector.
We had more than 100 finalists drawn from our total list of entrants – demonstrating the importance of employee benefits, even during the recession year of 2009. This does make the task tougher for our expert panel of judges (see page 4), so I would like to extend a special word of thanks to them. The job was difficult, the discussions enlightening, the disagreements enhanced the process – and the outcome was a fine list of finalists and winners.
I would also like to thank all our sponsors, in particular our associate sponsor, Towers Watson. Without all of you, there would be no Employee Benefits Awards.
Finally, and most importantly, congratulations to our worthy finalists and winners. Enjoy your success and celebrate!
