Northgate Vehicle Hire has enhanced its employee benefits package with a new voluntary benefits plan for more than 2,000 members of staff.
The vehicle rental organisation rolled out its ‘Just for You’ voluntary benefits programme in April 2015 and offers employees a broad range of retail and lifestyle discounts, as well as a health cash plan.
Since its launch, Northgate has had more than 2,000 hits on its benefits portal and employees have saved some £6,500.
The programme, which is provided by Personal Group, was launched to increase employee engagement and improve employee retention at Northgate.
Employees have access to discounts in a variety of ways on their mobile devices, as well as through vouchers and reloadable cards.
More than 8,000 discounts and cashback offers are available on the scheme, which includes offers at Sainsbury’s, Argos, Debenhams and Apple.
Hayley Burn, HR business partner at Northgate, said: “The face-to-face delivery was important for us and really appealed when we were looking for suppliers.
“A lot of our employees do not have access to computers at work so we wanted to make sure they could access the benefits by phone if they wanted to.
“The initial response has been good and we have had some great feedback.
“We’ve had over 2,000 clicks and our employees have saved £6,500 already.”
