Henley Management College has launched a MSc in Advanced Human Resource Management to help senior HR managers operate at a strategic level.
The MSc has been designed to appeal to experienced and practicing HR managers approaching senior or board level. The programme was†put together after research by the college revealed a need for a strategic professional HR qualification that will help HR professionals take their approach up a level.
The qualification teaches participants to be able to apply techniques to be able to develop HR strategy, consistently add value in the larger business context and to present high initiatives in the most effective way.
Ken Bull, programme leader, said: “The course is very much about putting HR in a business context. The emphasis is on action learning, where participants get the opportunity to work on real, live issues facing their own organisations.”
The programme takes a modular format that includes a three-day workshop, three five-day residential workshops and a series of regular action learning meetings. It should take between 16 months and two years to complete.
