Helena Housing has introduced a fully-funded healthcare cash plan for its 530 staff as part of its ongoing commitment to employee health and wellbeing.
The healthcare cash plan will allow employees to claim money back towards the cost of dentist check-ups, eye-tests and new glasses, as well as complimentary therapies and visits to the physiotherapist. It will be offered to all staff who have completed their probationary period.
Unison convener at Helena Housing, Brian Middlehurst, said: “It enables employees to access a range of services – which may prevent sickness absence occurring, which is of great benefit to everyone throughout the organisation.”
The benefit, which is provided by HealthSure, has been implemented as part of wider efforts to raise staff awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle..
