The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) has partnered with health insurer Aviva to launch new health awareness campaigns across the UK.
The Fit for Work initiative will offer a programme of activity and resources designed to improve the wellbeing of the UK workforce and to highlight the importance of physiotherapy in preventing work-related ill-health and sickness absence.
The organisations will also partner for the CSP’s Workout at Work Day in June. During the event physiotherapists across the country will encourage people to be more physically active in the workplace, as well as providing employers with an understanding of the business benefits of having an active and healthy workforce.
James Hales, director of marketing and communications at the CSP, said: “The CSP is delighted to be working in partnership with Aviva.
“We welcome its drive to improve the health of the workforce and its recognition that early intervention services, like physiotherapy, are key in reducing or even preventing the time people [are] absent from work.”
