Foreign and Commonwealth Office appoints Healix for healthcare

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has appointed Healix International to provide managed healthcare for its 16,000 employees worldwide.

Employees will now be given access to a range of occupational health services in the UK, and primary and secondary care services while working overseas. In the UK Healix will work with occupational health provider RPS to provide occupational healthcare support to employees.

Steve Hook, sales and marketing director at Healix.said: “Having nurses as case managers ensures that FCO employees will be given the right medical advice and guidance from the outset of a call.

“This contract is immensely exciting for us because it combines both UK and international medical needs for individuals and their families, some of whom work in challenging environments.”
