Deutsche Bank, Facebook and Google among top 10 highest-paying organisations

Deutsche BankDeutsche Bank, Facebook and Google are among the top 10 highest-paying organisations in the UK, according to research by Glassdoor.

Its 10 highest paying companies in the UK report is based on organisation-specific salary reports that have been shared with Glassdoor by UK-based employees on an anonymous and voluntary basis. The figures cover both base pay and other forms of compensation, such as commission and bonuses.

The 10 highest paying companies in the UK for 2016 are:

  1. SAP: Median total compensation of £90,000 and median base salary of £75,000.
  2. EMC: Median total compensation of £86,500 and median base salary of £70,000.
  3. McKinsey and Company: Median total compensation of £85,499 and median base salary of £78,000.
  4. Boston Consulting Group: Median total compensation of £83,311 and median base salary of £80,000.
  5. Facebook: Median total compensation of £79,500 and median base salary of £68,420.
  6. Deutsche Bank: Median total compensation of £75,000 and median base salary of £65,000.
  7. Nomura International: Median total compensation of £74,990 and median base salary of £65,000.
  8. Cisco Systems: Median total compensation of £74,000 and median base salary of £58,952.
  9. Google: Median total compensation of £73,300 and median base salary of £60,225.
  10. BNP Paribas: Median total compensation of £73,000 and median base salary and £62,000.

Dr Andrew Chamberlain, chief economist at Glassdoor, said: “Tech salaries in particular tend to be high because of a shortage in specialist skills such as software development and programming, with a bidding war for these workers now underway.”
