Centrica has reopened enrolment in its cycle-to-work scheme following an initial launch in June this year.
Overall, so far 349 employees have signed up for the perk, which is one component of the firm’s wider green initiatives.
This month, staff will be given a further opportunity to take up the benefit with the opening of a further enrolment period. Craig Truter, reward programme manager, said: “We had an impressive level of interest in the scheme across all of our UK sites and I am reassured by the number of colleagues that signed up in our first enrolment.”
Employees who take up the tax-efficient benefit are able to choose their bikes from independent retailers who are members of the Cyclescheme network.
