Nordea Bank’s London branch has been commended for its commitment to employee health and wellbeing.
The bank was awarded a Healthy Workplace award by provider Simplyhealth in recognition of the contribution it makes to the welfare of employees. Winners of this award provide employees with a range of initiatives and benefits to help keep their workforce healthy and motivated.
Morten Ristvedt, general manager at Nordea Bank, said: “We employ nearly 70 people in our London office, and we encourage each of them to maintain a healthy work and home life.
“We understand the added pressures juggling a family can bring to the workplace and as such we consider flexible working patterns on a discretionary basis and allow employees to work from home exceptionally if they need to. Our employees also benefit from free eye tests, flu jabs and gym membership and we provide fresh fruit for everyone daily.
“As part of our occupational health scheme, we pay for our staff at all levels to have a comprehensive health check, as well as offering an employee assistance programme.”
