Tim Banks appointed head of DC sales at AllianceBernstein

AllianceBernstein has appointed Tim Banks head of defined contribution (DC) sales to further develop the firm’s expansion efforts in the UK DC market.

Banks brings more than 20 years of experience in the pensions industry to AllianceBernstein. He joins from Prudential where he was director of business development, responsible for the UK distribution of DC, investment platform and de-risking products.

Previously, Tim held senior positions at firms including Fidelity, Standard Life and Towers Watson. He specialised in employee benefits and investments, performing a range of sales, consultancy and business leadership roles.

Simon King, sales manager UK and Ireland at AllianceBernstein, said: “Tim has a deep understanding of the complexities of the pensions market, vast experience in developing corporate strategies and a strong track record in sales.

“He will play an integral role in our development of innovative solutions to help plan members achieve the best possible outcome from their savings.”
