EXCLUSIVE: Coloplast hosts wellbeing week to promote healthcare benefits

Coloplast is hosting its first wellbeing week, which commenced on 19 September.

The medical devices organisation set aside the week to focus on wellbeing so employees can better understand the benefits available to them.

The wellbeing week will offer mini health checks for all its employees, including cholesterol checks, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and a general questionnaire conducted by a health professional.

The organisation handed out brochures and water bottles branded with its own wellbeing logo to all employees to promote the week of events.

Coloplast also started a ten-week Zumba programme onsite to encourage employees to move more.

In addition to the wellbeing week, Coloplast started providing free fruit in its staff restaurants in August.

In October, former Olympic athlete Sally Gunnell will be joining employees at Coloplast’s sales conference to share her tips on keeping physically and mentally fit, as well as hosting a work-out session.

Sam Sedwill, HR director at Coloplast, said: “We hope that this will ensure that employees are healthy and present at work, and feel like giving their best.

“We also want to be seen as a great place to work, and it is the little things that can make a big difference.

“This is high on our agenda, we are trying to invest in our staff with our wellbeing campaign.”
