Mental health in a changing world

Mental health problems affect about 1 in 10 children and young people, and 1 in 4 adults. Shocking research by the Mental Health Foundation has found that 50% of mental health problems are established by age 14 and 75% by aged 24! With high statistics concerning mental health, there needs to be clarity on what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide and what needs to be done in the workplace for mental health in a changing world.

Help make Mental Health First Aid a legal requirement
MHFA England state “56 percent of the public say they have experienced a mental health issue – but 90 percent still feel there is a taboo around mental health.” MHFA England have partnered with Bauer Media and Natasha Devon MBE to get the law changed to protect mental health. Where’s Your Head At? Is a campaign which will improve the mental health of the nation by ensuring employers look after the wellbeing of their workforce. The aim is to get a Mental Health First Aider in every workplace and school.
