Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall search for senior HR adviser

Prince-Charles-and-Camilla

Something for the weekend: Seasoned HR professionals are being given the opportunity to become reward royalty with the latest job posting from St James’s Palace.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are on the hunt for a senior HR adviser to join their household on a fixed term contract as maternity cover. The next in line to the throne is looking for an HR expert with a passion for management coaching and staff development, who also has strong experience in employee relations and communications.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the entire employment lifecycle of palace staff, taking on benefits provision, recruitment processes and HR reporting; expertise in HR systems will be required.

HR professionals wishing to apply need to hold a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification or equivalent, and will need to be confident communicators who can easily build relationships and engage with palace employees.

The Prince of Wales also requests that the new senior HR advisor is proactive, self-motivated, organised, a keen multi-tasker and can use initiative to complete tasks. Crucially, the appointed staff member must also be the soul of discretion to handle confidential situations and information.

HR experts have until 15 August 2019 to send in their CV for this exciting interim position.

Here at Employee Benefits, we think this could be a fantastic role for a monarchy-loving HR generalist who is ready to throw themselves into life at the palace. We wonder if the chosen candidate will even have the opportunity to talk employee benefits and reward with the Queen…
