Proportunity hires new VP of people and culture

London-based neolender Proportunity has announced the appointment of Janet Klin as vice president of people and culture.

Klin, who is a German-qualified lawyer specialising in employment law, has contributed to the recruitment and growth of the companies that she has worked for, including scaleable logistics technologies business Forto. She joined the organisation back in 2017 and was responsible for creating and implementing strategy to headhunt both tech and non-tech candidates for the team, helping it grow to more than 100 members of staff in two years.

In addition to this, Klin has worked at FinTech and FoodTech in Berlin, Germany, where she was responsible for setting up people departments and overseeing the overall recruitment strategy.

Most recently, she held the position of director of HR and talent management at Flex Capital, where she took care of recruitment and performance management, and advised the fund’s portfolio companies on recruitment, strategy and processes.

Reporting directly to the CEO, Vadim Toader, Klin will be directly responsible for recruitment, people and performance management, as well as employer branding. She will also lead on the set up of the people function general processes and coaching the team.

Klin explained that she is “delighted” to be join Proportunity and is committed to the vision and mission of the company.
