Software and technology firm for the global travel industry Sabre Corporation has launched an updated employee wellbeing package, aimed at fostering a supportive environment where staff can thrive and succeed.

The business, which launched a global ‘Work from Anywhere’ programme 18 months ago, has introduced this initiative as part of an investment in the staff across its 70 offices.

As part of the updated approach, it has created the Sabre Wellbeing Advisor Network, a council of team members from around the world who guide conversations around wellbeing, best practices, and tools and programmes.

The organisation has partnered with Headspace to provide free access to its mindfulness app, as well as offering access to Sanvello, an app offering clinical techniques to reduce the symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress, Talkspace, which has licensed therapists available 24 hours a day, and BurnAlong, which is a platform that offers on-demand physical, mental, and financial wellness classes.

It has also launched its global employee assistance programme, which includes five free counseling sessions per person, per topic, per year.

Shawn Williams, chief people officer at Sabre, said: “We employ some of the world’s top talent and we’re focused on creating an environment in which they can reach their full potential, helping us reshape the global travel industry from the inside out. Investing in our people – both present and future – is a huge priority for us, and it is our aim to cultivate a culture that is rewarding, supporting and transparent.

“We recognise that there’s no one-size-fits-all way of working, and offering our team members a setup that works best for them, their role and their team will help them do their best work, feel valued and stay focused.”
