Compass Group UK & Ireland is launching an employee recognition programme through which staff can nominate a colleague or themselves for an award for meeting key values.
The Be a Compass Star initiative, which rewards staff for demonstrating integrity, teamwork, passion, responsibility and a can-do attitude, follows a 13% rise in the company’s employee satisfaction rating for benefits.
Sally Mason, reward and benefits director, said this increase could be partly attributed to the revamp of the company’s benefits and reward scheme this year under the brand name U Choose.
The food and support services provider added a revised employee discount scheme, provided by Vectis, which offers deals on a range of products and services, including holidays, insurance, cars and meals. In August, it also standardised its long-service awards programme, which recognises employee commitment through letters and gifts.
