Kingswood has introduced an employee engagement programme and a range of new voluntary benefits for its 650 staff.
The educational activity provider has launched the programme to complement its existing benefits offering, to reward staff for their hard work and to further enhance the organisation’s workplace culture.
The programme, provided by Perkbox, includes access to a range of practical and recreational perks. This includes free mobile phone insurance and breakdown cover, retail and attraction discounts and half price MOTs.
Employees can redeem rewards through their own dedicated account on the online platform, which can also be accessed via a smartphone app.
The engagement platform also provides access to online classes in yoga, healthy cooking and meditation, as well as offering financial help and advice.
Through the programme, employees are automatically enrolled into a gamified rewards and recognition platform, which works to provide peer-to-peer recognition and internal rewards.
Jason Andrews, managing director at Kingswood, said: “We are fully committed to making Kingswood a great place to work and play, both for all of our guests and our fantastic teams who welcome and inspire over 160,000 young people to our education and adventure centres each year.
“[The programme] provides another fun and rewarding way to show our appreciation to all our teams, whether they’re activity leaders at centres, support staff, or office based.”
Can your engagement / loyalty be bought with perks? Mine can’t. I want to know what is going on and how I can participate in the improving results. And I don’t think I am very different than most employees. That is why economic transparency works.
Treating employees like adults, involving them in the economics of the business, helping them to think and act like business partners, consistently drives profitable growth and a sustainable competitive advantage. The information engages their minds, and the trust engages their hearts. For 20+ years, clients of mine, including Southwest Airlines and Capital One, have consistently improved profits and the lives of the employees who drive those profits.
